I’m Ashley – a certified Health Coach and fitness enthusiast.

Welcome to Ashley Morris Fitness! Let me start by saying how beyond grateful I am for all of your guys’ support throughout my fitness journey, and how much it means to me to help you through yours! It is extremely important for me to share my story/transformation/fitness journey with all of you for many reasons. I have struggled with my weight pretty much all of my life. I’m 5’8” and in high school I weighed 120 pounds- I was stick skinny with no definition, and even then I remember feeling insecure. Fast forward five years and I had gained 60 pounds and was weighing in at 180 pounds. I felt helpless. I had tried every diet known to man: low carb diets, weight-loss shakes, skinny teas, juicing, etc. You name it, I tried it. Although some of these helped me lose 10-15 pounds, they were not long term  maintainable lifestyles. I would gain all the weight back, plus some, and end up feeling worse than before. I am a 0-100 type of person; meaning I would go from binge eating fast food and being very inactive to living off of salads and going to the gym 7 days a week. It was unhealthy and very tough on my body. I finally got to the point where I was outgrowing all of my clothes and was so unhappy with my body that it started to effect my day-to-day life. I wouldn’t even want to go out with my friends because I would obsess over how much I hated my body the whole time. I knew it was time to make a change, not just a diet but a lifestyle. I am absolutely terrible with self-control and discipline so I knew I was going to have to make serious sacrifices in order for this to work. I moved out of my home I was renting with friends and back in with my dad in another city just 45 minutes away. This helped me distance myself from the bad eating, partying, and lazy lifestyle I had grown so accustomed to. It’s a lot easier to make better choices when you don’t surround yourself with them. I used the money I was spending on rent to hire a personal trainer. I didn’t know if this was something I would have long term but having someone to hold you accountable and to show you the ropes fitness wise in the beginning helps more than you can imagine. Another thing I did was meal prep for the week every Saturday. Not only do you save tons of money this way, but it helps you control what you put into your body, and the convenience is beyond measure. Having your meals prepped and ready in the fridge prevents excuses and bad eating. These three factors, plus many others helped me get to where I am today. I went from 180lbs to a current weight of 138lbs which is a total of 42 pounds lost and 27 inches lost. I am not done, and still am transforming as well, which I feel is why you should choose me as your coach!  I aim to inspire women to live a life they are proud of, while nourishing their bodies and building confidence through exercise. Let me help you lose the weight, but gain what really matters…. a healthy mindset, and a new life.
